The Community

A Collaborative Clinical Community
The Wings Center brings together clinicians with different backgrounds, specialties, ages, and levels of experience. Counselors regularly consult with one another, collaborate when appropriate, and offer both professional accountability and support. Our rhythms guard against isolation and promote a shared sense of community and mission.
In some cases, that collaboration extends to different members of our clinical team working with different members of the same family—allowing clinicians to coordinate care while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries.
“Our rhythms guard against isolation and promote a shared sense of community and mission.”

Accessible Leadership
Clinical Director Dr. Dan Sartor is an active and accessible part of the team, providing counselors with opportunities for guidance, consultation, and professional development.
This accessibility is complemented by regular rhythms of connection across the staff, including:
- Weekly staff meetings and peer consultation
- Weekly Chapel
- Monthly “Lunch and Learn” Book Club
- Regular continuing education opportunities
- Regular one-on-one lunches with the Clinical Director
- Frequent team gatherings, celebrations, and periodic retreats

“There is a unique balance here between autonomy and community. In many ways, you have some of the things people love about private practice—you can largely set your own schedule, work independently, manage your own scheduling, and practice without being micromanaged. At the same time, you are not isolated. We come together for staff meetings, book clubs, consultation, lunches, and informal conversations, and there is a real opportunity to build relationships with colleagues.”
– Jennifer Loggins, LPC, CPCS
