Chris Sherwood

Staff Counselor-Intern

Chris is a clinical counseling intern pursuing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside adolescents and adults who are navigating relational issues, coping with grief and loss, walking through a spiritual crisis, and healing from trauma. Chris views counseling as a relational enterprise where therapist and client work together to examine the unique ways a person’s relationships have influenced them. The insights and awareness drawn from this exploration can cultivate healing, personal growth, and transformative change. Alongside mindfulness-based skills, Chris believes this has the capacity to alter how someone relates to themselves and their world. He is an advocate in the power of restorative relationships and finds it is a gift to help people find their path to healing. He understands the pain fractured relationships and trauma can have and is passionate to bear witness to others as a sojourner on the healing journey toward hope and wholeness. Outside of the office, Chris is an avid runner, sports fan, husband, and father to two young kids.
